The only fiber-free mango in Bangladesh is the Haribhanga mango from Rangpur. The top is thick and the bottom is thin. The core is round, small, and somewhat long. It also has a toned body and a meaty appearance. Mango without fiber. One Haribhanga is heavier than other mangoes. On average, 3 mangoes weigh 1 kilogram.
Individual mangoes can weigh between 500 and 600 grams, but the beauty of this variety is that ripe mangoes can be stored for a long period of time. The skin is visibly wrinkled, but remains beautiful on the inside. This mango can be eaten raw or ripe and is sold at Tk. 40 taka to 60 taka per kg.
The appearance of Haribhanga mango tree is noticeable and attractive. The tip or shade is plump and strong. By grafting with its shade or grafting on the branches, the tree grows very quickly. Within a few days, the branches spread and the circumference of the tree increases significantly. Buds appear in the year after planting, but breaking the buds in the first year increases the number of shoots and makes the plant stronger.
One of the characteristics of the Haribhanga mango tree is that the branches of the tree are seen to spread more sideways rather than upwards or sky-high. As a result, due to the low height, the trees are not uprooted in storms and mangoes also fall less in storms. The upper part of the mango is thicker and wider, the lower part is relatively thin. The mango looks smooth and fleshy, the breath is round and a little long. Breath is much smaller than mango, no fiber inside. Larger in weight than other mangoes compared to size, average 3 mangoes are 1 kg. In some cases, a mango is 500/700 grams. Nutritious mangoes remain intact for a long time. The skin shrinks but does not rot. Different flavors are available at different levels from young to ripe. But it is better not to overripe the mango.
